Kareyce Fotso was born in the Bamiléké region et was raised among the Béti people. After successful studies in chemistery and audio media, she decides to go back to her passion, singing. She starts perfcorming in the clubs of Yaoundé in Cameroun and becomes backing vocalist. While in France for a residency ("Visa pour la création"), she works under artistic direction of François Kokelaere, who used to manage the National Ensemble of Guinean Percussions and Guinean band Wofa which has toured worldwide. This encounter gave birth to a solo show, Kareyce Fotso playing guitar and percussions while singing.
